Caroline Drake
Parent Survivor

Caroline lost her daughter, Kaitlyn, to accidental overdose in July 2020. In trying to find a path to healing, Caroline immersed herself in the field of harm reduction. GCSTOP was there when Kaitlyn felt she had no other place to turn. It is Caroline’s mission to spread the same love and support her daughter received, and for those struggling to feel valued and loved no matter where they are in their journey.


Jim Albright
Director of Guilford County Emergency Services

Jim Albright is the current director of Guilford County Emergency Services. Emergency Services provides numerous community functions including EMS, Emergency Management, and coordination of the County Fire system. He is also the founder of Guilford County Solutions to the Opioid Problem (GCSTOP) which is a harm reduction and treatment navigation collaborative between Guilford County and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.


Meet Our Moderator

Risa Hanau, LCSW is the Clinical and Community Educator at AuthoraCare Collective. Risa is a seasoned presenter and teacher in the area of end-of-life and ethics. She is a member of the Cone Health Ethics Committee. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker by training and holds a Master of Social Work from The University of Pennsylvania.
