Volunteer Needs

There are as many volunteer opportunities as there are bargains! Volunteer needs include drivers for our trucks, sorters, fix-it folks, cashiers, sales folks and lots more. Call 336.621.2500 or click here to volunteer.

Donate To Hospice Thrift Store

You can stop by the store loading dock between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays or our volunteers can pick up your donations at your home. Call 336.532.0164 to arrange a pick-up.

What Can You Donate?

All items must be in good condition and working order.

  • Appliances – Freezers, microwaves (table top models only), refrigerators, stoves, washers and dryers (no gas appliances, please)
  • Area rugs (none over 10 feet)
  • Artwork – paintings and sculptures
  • Bikes
  • Books – paperbacks and hardbacks
  • Clothing, shoes, handbags and accessories for men, women and children (all seasons accepted year-round)
  • Collectibles
  • Craft supplies
  • Curtains
  • Exercise equipment
  • Furniture – bedroom sets, chairs, china cabinets, rocking chairs, sofas and tables, patio furniture and porch swings
  • Gardening supplies – flower pots as well as yard art/sculptures
  • Health and beauty items including hair dryers and curling irons
  • Holiday trees and decorations (accepted year-round)
  • Housewares – dishes, gadgets, glasses, silverware and Tupperware
  • Jewelry
  • Lamps
  • Magazines
  • Medical equipment – crutches, folding bedside commodes, new packages of adult incontinence products, walkers and wheelchairs
  • Office supplies – folders, pens, pencils, etc.
  • Sewing supplies – bolts and scraps of fabric along with sewing patterns and thread
  • Sports equipment – balls for every sport, baseball bats, tennis rackets, golf clubs and golf bags
