To Put Life on Your Terms, We Listen First

Health care providers often tell patients what to do. AuthoraCare Collective focuses on giving them authority over the care they receive.

AuthoraCare

We start every relationship by recognizing each patient’s unique hopes, wishes and way of life – their unique life story – and helping them clarify their goals. We ask patients and their families, “What do you want?” By first discovering what’s important to them, we can then leverage our collective expertise to tailor a care plan that supports their vision of a life well lived. Everything we do is rooted in their perspective.

AuthoraCare Collective is a 501c3, nonprofit organization (Federal Tax ID 56-1249146) that has been serving patients and families in North Carolina since 1980. Although we receive reimbursements from Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance, these benefits are not enough to cover all of the costs for the breadth of services we provide.

Your tax-deductible gift, processed through the AuthoraCare Foundation (Federal Tax ID 47-1169471), will ensure that AuthoraCare continues its mission of empowering people to be active participants in their care journey, enabling them to live on their own terms through personalized support for the mind, body, and spirit.

Any gift can be made in honor or memory of someone. Click here to donate.

Expertise, Multiplied: Two Leaders Come Together

We represent the combined care and expertise of two of the area’s foremost care giving organizations, who came together with a shared vision of helping patients and their families compose the remaining chapters of life in ways most meaningful to them.

When Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Alamance-Caswell and Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro merged into a single organization, we began a new chapter. Our expertise multiplied with our collective team of professionals, backed by more resources than ever. We’re authorities in our array of disciplines, caring for patients’ well-being physically, emotionally and spiritually. And we do it all with our signature perspective of putting their needs and wishes first, so they can find more joy in the story they’re creating.

“I had always associated hospice with death until my Mama got sick. [The nurse] explained that hospice was to help Mama live each day as comfortable and happy as she could be… She kept Mama’s spirits high with her warm smile, gentle touch and caring personality. She made Mama feel completely at ease.”
