Since 2019, avid runner Pete Barusic has invited runners/walkers to celebrate the summer solstice at Doggettville Farm, 7962 Highfill Rd., Summerfield, with a Summer Solstice Ultra Relay. The one-mile course will be open from sunrise to sunset (6:02 a.m. to 8:37 p.m.) Saturday, June 14. It is sponsored by Barusic’s In Between Seasons Coaching LLC.
